- TORNADO
In case of tornado warnings:
- Listen to the radio (AM 790 WLBE) for tornado/severe storm advisories.
- Have a flashlight and extra batteries on hand.
- Close windows and window coverings (curtains, drapes, blinds, etc.)
- If time allows, fill containers and bathtubs with water.
- Use your telephone only for emergencies.
- During a tornado, remain in your home away from windows, preferably in the main bathroom or in the shower/tub area with the door closed.
FIREARMS AND WEAPONS
- Waterman Village discourages our residents from possessing firearms and weapons within their Villa or Manor; however, we also respect each Individual’s choice and therefore recommend:
- Storing firearms and all other types of weapons off campus;
- If they are kept on campus, they should be stored in a manner that promotes safety, i.e., with a trigger guard, in a gun or weapon safe, and in a disassembled state.
- All firearms should be stored and unloaded at all times. Ammunition should be stored in a secure manner and separate from the gun.
- We encourage residents not to display their firearm(s) and weapon(s) in a common area of their homes.
- Residents must always satisfy the requirements of all applicable Federal, State, and local laws governing the possession and storage of firearms and weapons.
