Attractive rate plans/options, for a multi-level / progressive living community
One couple from New York recently stated, “Waterman Village is a great value!”
According to a report by the American Seniors Housing Association (ASHA), the average person who moves into a community that offers independent living, assisted living, and a nursing home, will live in the community’s
nursing home area for only 9 months. Therefore, the average person is much better off financially to choose a ‘fee-for-service’ rate/agreement plan like Waterman Village’s, where you pay a little more for nursing home care, but receive a 75% entry refund provision for life, rather than a community with a ‘life-care’ rate/agreement plan that has high entrance fees, but zero refund provisions, after just a few years of residency.
Other reasons why Waterman Village’s ‘fee-for-service’ rate/agreement plan is preferred by seniors, in comparison to a ‘life-care’ plan, are: 1) nursing home usage across the U.S. is declining significantly, 2) more retirement community residents are moving to the community’s ‘assisted living’ facility rather than the community’s ‘nursing home’, 3) more retirement community residents are hiring ‘in-home’ health care in their independent living units, and 4) hospitals are being rewarded financially for NOT discharging their patients to nursing home/care facilities.
People who already possess long-term care insurance, discover living at The Oaks Retirement Community at Waterman Village, to be the ideal choice. Why? Because they don’t have to pay ‘twice’ for long-term insurance: for their long-term care insurance policy and to the community in high, often non-refundable, entrance fees.

Rates for the new Lakeside Retirement Community, will be available in the next few months. A priority member list has started. Call (352) 385-1120 for details.
Rates for the Bridgewater Assisted Living Residence begin at $3,400 a month. Private pay only.
Rates for the Edgewater Health & Rehabilitation Center begin at a $255 day. If you have traditional Medicare and a Medicare supplement, medicare will often pay up to your first 100 days. If you have a Medicare Advantage plan, they typically pay very poorly for nursing home/long term care. We don’t recommend Medicare Advantage plans, for skilled nursing facility coverage purposes.
