- V.I.P. is a support group for visually impaired people who meet monthly to receive information and help them improve their daily lives to the fullest extent. Guest speakers from various organizations and businesses guide the residents through the latest technology and services available to the visually impaired. - VITAS Healthcare offers a caregiver support group focusing on caregiver stress, community resources, and tips & tactics for caregiving. They meet on the 1st and 3rd Wednesdays from 11 am to 12 noon in the Lodge Card Room.
- The focus will be on those who battle heart disease, which kills more people each year than any other disease. The group meets on the 2nd Tuesday of each month at 10:30 am in the Lakeside Multi-Purpose Room, sponsored by Outpatient Therapy, with Lisa McDaniel as the leader. There will be a general discussion on the heart and related diseases, with ample time for discussion. We will try to have a topic planned for each meeting and look forward to feedback from everyone.
- Veterans Group – This is a reminder that Rich Hong from the Florida Department of Veterans Affairs will speak in the Chapel on Tuesday, February 11th, at 6:30 PM. The presentation is open to everyone and will provide vital information for Veterans and their spouses, surviving spouses, and family members. Mr. Hong will discuss Veteran benefits and assistance. - Men’s Forum – Join us in the Lakeside MPR from 10 am to 11 am on the first and third Monday of every month.
- Cancer Support Group – Meets the 1st and 3rd Tuesday of each month at 2:00 pm in the Chapel office.
- Alzheimer’s Support Group – 3rd Wednesday of the month at 1:30 in the Art Studio.

- Essence Club – Are you a caregiver for a spouse or someone special? Waterman Village has been piloting a new short-term respite program over the past few months, and we have received positive feedback. This group is only offered to Waterman Village Residents for your loved one. They will have supervised companionship for lunch, a variety of activities, and socialization with a few other residents while you are busy or taking a break. The club meets 1 time per month for 4 hours at a very reasonable price. Your cost covers a caregiver (or two, depending on attendance) and activities for their time. The resident will be responsible for the cost of lunch at the Brew Bar.
