Choosing a Retirement Community-Activities

July 16, 2023

There are many different facets and things to think about before choosing a retirement community.  One of them is the amount and quality of activities that are available to residents at the retirement community on a regular basis.

There is a direct correlation between the number of activity staff that a retirement community employs, and the amount of activities the community offers to its residents.

Therefore, when searching for a retirement community for yourself or a loved one, it’s important to ask the question: “How many full and part time designated activity and wellness staff does the community have for say, independent living”?

It’s important to ask this question up front, because, the last thing a person wants to learn after they move in, that the community lacks a vibrant and engaging activity and wellness program.  You can move out of the community if it doesn’t, but, it’s much easier to find out this information ahead of time, so you can make the best choice possible and save yourself a lot of potential grief and frustration later on.
