Lakeside at Waterman Village Information Center Open June 1!

Through the hard work of the amazing Waterman Village team, we are very proud to say that we have not had a single case of COVID-19 at any level of living at Waterman Village. As a result, we are very happy to announce that we are able to have in-person appointments at our Lakeside Information Center beginning Monday, June 1, 2020! Our success in “riding the wave” and keeping our community safe has allowed us to take this step toward allowing future members of this exciting community expansion back on site.
So, in the interest of both you, our prospective resident, and current members of the Waterman Village community, you will see the guidelines below that will allow us to stay COVID-free—and ensure your peace of mind when visiting with us to learn more about Lakeside at Waterman Village.
One of the first changes you will notice is that all visitors and staff are required to go through the Waterman Village Gatehouse for initial screening. At that stop, you will be asked the CDC-recommended screening questions and your temperature will be taken with a no-touch infrared thermometer. Anyone who has a temperature greater than 100 degrees, or has a risk factor identified with the questions, will be asked to reschedule their appointment and return at a later date.
Once you have completed the Gatehouse screening, you will be directed to go to the Lakeside Information Center for your appointment. Upon arrival, you’ll notice there is hand sanitizer available, which everyone is encouraged to use. We also ask that all visitors wear a mask or cloth face covering, and our entire team will also be wearing masks. Additionally, prior to your arrival, the staff has sanitized all surfaces that you may come in contact with and this sanitization will happen again once you leave.
You might also notice the Information Center is a little quieter. We will be staggering appointment times to minimize contact with others and adhering to social distancing. At this time, we will continue to postpone all large group gatherings until we receive further guidance from the State of Florida. We will continue to offer virtual meetings and informational sessions, as many have found this format not only safe, but very helpful and informative. At this time, physical tours of our existing campus remain prohibited due to visitor restrictions that are still in place.
