Waterman Waiting List Club

The Oaks is our ‘flagship’ retirement community that was started in 1989.  At The Oaks, you can choose from Estate duplex homes, Manor duplex homes, Custom ranch homes, or Villa quad/duplex homes.  Residents have priority access to the Bridgewater Assisted Living apartment residence and the Edgewater Health & Rehabilitation Center, as well as the services of the Waterman Home Health Care agency, the Outpatient Therapy Clinic, and Nurse Practitioner house/home call service. All are located right on campus if ever needed.  Full service physician, dental, and banking offices, as well as a full-service pharmacy, are also located within a short walk or golf cart drive. Everything one needs to best remain independent and active, as long as possible throughout life! Scroll down below for more details on the different residence types.

Not ready to move right now?  No problem.  We have a waiting list for The Oaks Retirement Community.  For a $950 membership fee, you can place your name(s) on our In-The-Wings  club wait list.  In-The-Wings  club members receive some very nice perks such as: permission to dine in The Oaks 5-Star ‘Bistro’ fine dining restaurant and The Oaks Cafe, permission to attend Sunday ‘Chapel Fellowship’ worship services, use of the heated outdoor pool, and use of the wellness/fitness center (personal trainers available at no charge).  Members also receive complimentary tickets to local events, as well as invitations to special events held on the Waterman Village campus throughout the year. It’s a great value, in addition to securing your future peace of mind.

The Oaks Retirement Community –  Villa Homes


Villa Home with Gold CarThe one story 2BR – 2BA duplex and quadplex Villa Homes, are located on quiet, peaceful, tree-lined streets. Sizes range from 1,072 square feet to 1,370 square feet. Convenient covered parking, just steps from your front door.  No two villas are exactly alike. Not up to driving/walking to the dining room or to an activity?  No problem!  Just call and we’ll pick you up right at your front door and return you back to your front door.

The Oaks Retirement Community – Custom Villa Homes


Custom Villa Home

A Custom Villa home is a ranch style ‘free-standing’ home, offering more square footage than traditional Villa homes (2,000 square foot range).  All have spacious 2 car carports.  Their beautiful – spacious interiors, are a wonderful choice for couples or individuals who are moving from larger homes, and are accustomed to larger accommodations.  There are 10 Custom Villa homes on the Waterman Village campus.

 

The Oaks Retirement Community – Manor Homes

New Manor Home

The Manor homes with their brick and stone trim are reminiscent of a country manor home.  Five different floor plans offer two bedrooms, two baths and an attached garage for both car and golf cart.  Some have an additional den as well.  Sizes range from 1,408 square feet to approximately 2,000 square feet.  The Manors include spacious interiors with modern appliances, including a full size, side-by-side washer/dryer.  Several floor plans offer a screened lanai.  The first video below, is a walk-through of a ‘Brentwood II’ style Manor home.  The second one just below it, is a video walk-through of a ‘Glenwood’ style Manor home.

 

 

The Oaks Retirement Community – Estate Homes

The Estate homes have 2BR-2BA, dens, enclosed two car garages, and are some of our largest and most modern designed floor plans.   Current Estate Home floor plans vary, with no two floor plans exactly alike.  Spacious bedrooms and bathrooms, nice functional design, light and open.

In 2002, I looked at a new Manor. It overlooked the Nature Preserve and was rested on the Woodbury Avenue unit below.  I liked what I saw, committed, and moved in near the end of the year.  It was a decision that I have never regretted.  For almost 17 years, I have lived in a Premier retirement community.  Among the advantages: everything on one floor, an excellent Lodge dining room, plus a casual Deli and an upscale Bistro with a top manager.  A Wellness Center, nicely equipped and a walking trail.  The landscaping is outstanding – always being maintained.  Nearby are a drug and grocery store, as well as a bank.  Well cared for sedans drive you to medical services.  I enjoy moving about in my golf cart, have a garage for it and my car and best of all, I can close the door behind me and go where I choose on the campus with a feeling of complete safety.  What else could I want!
