The Edgewater continues to strive earnestly to keep the COVID-19 virus at bay. While only 1 staff member and 0 residents have tested positive for COVID-19, the presence of positivity in the Edgewater means the facility is classified as being in ‘outbreak’ status. Subsequently, in-person visitation is now strongly discouraged and alternate forms of visitation are now recommended. If you would like a virtual visit or a telephone visit, please contact the activities department at 352-383-0051 ext. 290. Should you decide to visit during this very difficult time, please adhere to the core principles of infection prevention. If you have any questions regarding the status of your loved ones, please contact The Edgewater nursing department 352-383-0051 ext. 253 (TCU) and 388 (Atlantic). Thank you all for your thoughts and prayers as we endeavor to overcome our COVID-19 impact.
