VISIT OUR BEAUTIFUL, NEWLY RE-MODELED, BRIDGEWATER ASSISTED LIVING FACILITY!
The Mount Dora, Tavares, Eustis, Leesburg, Lake County,Central Florida’s Area’s Premier, Established, Not For Profit, Locally Based Assisted Living Facility since 1989. Ministry over profits. That’s what we’re all about and that’s what family members want for their loved one.
The Bridgewater assisted living facility, located on the campus of Waterman Village, has established a reputation as the premier assisted living residence in the Mount Dora, Eustis, Tavares, Leesburg, and Sorrento Florida areas. Three decades of solid experience, has never been bought or sold, etc., and is operated by Waterman Village, a local not-for-profit organization (no offsite ownership or management). We seldom have space available in the Bridgewater, because we give our independent living residents priority admission to the Bridgewater. Since we haven’t had many admissions into the Bridgewater from our ‘The Oaks’ Retirement Community here at Waterman Village, we are opening up the Bridgewater to the general public on a first come first serve basis. So, act soon if you are looking for the best overall assisted living facility experience for a family member or loved one.
A major/unique benefit of choosing an assisted living apartment at the Bridgewater, is, should a Bridgewater resident require short term rehabilitation (nursing home care) following a hospital stay, or, long term nursing home care, they can make a smooth and easy transition right next door to the adjacent Edgewater Health & Rehabilitation Center, located right on the Waterman Village campus. This makes the transition for Bridgewater residents much smoother and easier, and family members don’t have to worry about having to find ‘another place’ for their loved one. And, the Edgewater has been consistently ranked as a Medicare Five Star Rated Nursing Center (longest in Lake County Florida)
Don’t pack or move a box! We have a temporary moving incentive program. Depending on where your loved one lives, your packing, moving, and unpacking services AND costs might be fully covered! Ask for details! (certain restrictions apply)
Health Care Services
Click here to listen to a message from Amy, our wonderful Director of Nursing Services, whose worked at the Bridgewater for 10 years. To Amy, “You and your loved one, are family”!

We encourage you to compare our rates. Visitors often tell us that Bridgewater residents are not required to pay a lot of ‘extras’, like other places they’ve researched, or where other loved ones have resided. Monthly rates begin at $3,500 a month for a studio apartment suite (includes assistance or supervision with medication AND bathing assistance).
Staffing and health care
Many of our Bridgewater staff have been with us for many years. We have a visiting nurse practitioner, visiting podiatrist, and a visiting psychologist, so residents can easily receive these services when and if needed.

Facility and campus
Just outside the Bridgewater assisted living facility, you’ll find spacious grounds with shaded walking trails close by, where you can take your family member or friend out for a nice stroll. The Bridgewater was recently updated and renovated inside and out. The Bridgewater has only two stories, which is very important for life-safety code and evacuation operations, if ever necessary or required. And, a brand new heavy duty commercial generator was purchased for the Bridgewater last year. There’s also a full-service pharmacy on site, as well as two full service dental offices by our staffed/gated entry, making life much easier for Bridgewater residents and their family members/friends.
Before you choose an assisted living residence for your loved one, compare and experience Bridgewater’s food quality, quantity, choice, and service. For top notch/timely dining services, we have a dedicated team of dining room servers for each meal served, who work solely in the Bridgewater dining room, and not out ‘on the floor’ as nursing assistants or activity staff. Quite rare in the industry.
It’s not uncommon that your loved one will need physical, occupational, or speech therapy at some point during their stay at the Bridgewater assisted living facility. The great news is, Bridgewater residents can utilize our extensive group of ‘on-site’ therapy professionals, through the Waterman Village Outpatient Therapy Clinic! This makes life much easier for family members, and can often lead to better therapy outcomes for patients.
Home Health Care
Bridgewater residents also have easy access to Waterman Village’s full-service in-home health care agency, that is ideally located right on the Waterman Village campus. There are many advantages of using Waterman Village Home Care, should your loved one desire private duty in home care as well. One being, since Waterman Village Home Care is located on the same campus of the Bridgewater, they’ll already be familiar with your loved one’s current plan of care, which often leads to better health care outcomes as well.
Offers you as a family member, and our residents, a higher sense of peace of mind, knowing that those who enter the Waterman Village campus, are stopped before entering. Considered by many senior living experts, to be an essential requirement and amenity for today’s senior living community.
Transportation to/from local medical appointments is included at no extra charge on certain days and times during the week.
Residents love the spiritual services provided by our full-time Pastor/Rev/Chaplain Robert and associate Chaplains. It’s ‘love thy neighbor’ in action. Our chapel is beautiful and can accommodate 150 residents.
Waterman Village is a not-for-profit organization, with a 30 year history, that’s locally incorporated, managed, and operated. Our first and foremost mission, is to help our residents live their best lives possible. Like Mount Dora, it is ‘Someplace Special’. Come and visit the Bridgewater assisted living residence located on the campus of Waterman Village in Mount Dora, before you decide on an assisted living residence for yourself or loved one.
