Assisted Living Mount Dora, Tavares, Eustis Florida areas – The Bridgewater

Waterman-Village-Retirement-Assisted-Living2016 Assisted Living Award

Assisted Living Bedroom

For over two decades, the Bridgewater assisted living residence, located on the campus of Waterman Village in Mount Dora, has established itself as a premier assisted living residence in the Central Florida/Triangle area.  A major/unique benefit of choosing an assisted living apartment at the Bridgewater is, should a Bridgewater resident require short term rehab. following a hospital stay, or long-term nursing care, they can make a smooth and easy transition right next door to the adjacent Edgewater Medicare FIVE STAR health & rehabilitation center. The resident is already familiar with the Waterman Village community and family members don’t have to go through the trouble of having to find ‘another’ place.

Halloween CostumesAlso, we encourage you to compare our rates. Visitors often tell us that Bridgewater residents are not required to pay a lot of ‘extras’, like other places they’ve researched or their loved ones have lived at.  Monthly rates begin at $3,400 a month for a studio suite.  Compare our staffing with other AL facilties.  We have LICENSED professionals nurses scheduled 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. We have a dedicated team of dining room servers, who solely work in the Bridgewater dining room, and not out ‘on the floor’ as nursing assistants or activity staff.  And, compare our food quality, quantity, and choice. Speak to Debbie, our Bridgewater activities coordinator, to learn about all various activity programming at the Bridgewater. Come and visit the Bridgewater, before you decide on an assisted living residence for yourself or loved one.  We’re a not-for-profit organization, with a 30 year history, that’s locally owned, managed, and operated. Our first and foremost mission, is to help our residents live their best lives possible.

“My parent’s first experience with living in assisted living was horrible. She would leave the table hungry because the food was so bad, mix ups with medications, no security until the police arrested a druggie for breaking in. She & I both complained to the director several times & nothing changed. After 6 months, I was told about a facility called “Bridgewater” at Waterman Village in Mount Dora. She transferred to this assisted living facility after being treated at their rehab “Edgewater” which is excellent also. This place is an answer to prayer! Every assisted living facility should be trained by the owners of this facility. The food service is like a five star restaurant, 24/7 security, the building is beautiful, I can’t say enough about how skilled & caring the staff is. Everyone, from the receptionist, the director, nurses, chaplains, activities director, home health, housekeeping are all exceptional. My Mom is so happy here & I am grateful we found Bridgewater” – Review received by Gail, resident family member

In 2002, I looked at a new Manor. It overlooked the Nature Preserve and was rested on the Woodbury Avenue unit below.  I liked what I saw, committed, and moved in near the end of the year.  It was a decision that I have never regretted.  For almost 17 years, I have lived in a Premier retirement community.  Among the advantages: everything on one floor, an excellent Lodge dining room, plus a casual Deli and an upscale Bistro with a top manager.  A Wellness Center, nicely equipped and a walking trail.  The landscaping is outstanding – always being maintained.  Nearby are a drug and grocery store, as well as a bank.  Well cared for sedans drive you to medical services.  I enjoy moving about in my golf cart, have a garage for it and my car and best of all, I can close the door behind me and go where I choose on the campus with a feeling of complete safety.  What else could I want!
